IOT Competitions:
Men:
At this years finals to be held at Cliftonville BC on Saturday 5th September, Margate has two teams playing in the finals.
At 9:30 in the Fours, Bob Taylor (substituting for Andy Nicholson), Keith Cowan, "Budgie" (David Carman) and Terry Coker are against the St Lawrence team - Dex Weyand, Andy Rook, Mick Hommersham and Ken weyand.
At 2:30 in the pairs, Bob Taylor and Terry Coker are playing against the Dane Park team - Brian Chalkley and Steve Doyle. 

County Competitions:
Men:
"Budgie" (David Carman) has qualified for a County badge and is also this year's County Unbadged Singles Champion.

Snow Cup 2009 winners
The Snow Cup was won by Gerry & Nick Wood (Margate) defeating Natalie & Simon Fox (Ramsgate & St Lawrence respectively); final score was 22-10 after 18 ends (Simon & Natalie conceded).

Natalie & Simon got off to a good start and were leading 6-3 after the eighth end but then dropped a six and never really recovered from this point
In the semi finals, Gerry & Nick defeated Neil Kemp & Marie Clements (Margate & Pfizers respectively) by a score of 20-13 and Natalie & Simon defeated Ray Greenstreet & Barbara Ansell (Dane Park & Ramsgate respectively) by a score of 27-6. Last year's holders, Terry Coker & Rosemary Osmond (Margate & Dane Park respectively) were knocked out in the 1st round by Neil Kemp & Marie Clements.

Timber Wood winners

The Timber Wood (plate) was won by Ronnie Phillips & John Russell (both Herne Bay) defeating Margaret Mooney & David "Budgie" Carman (both Margate); final score was 20-15. it was a close head-to-head game until the sixteenth & seventeenth end where Ronnie & John took a 2 & 3 to lead by 18-11. Winning ends were however close with Ronnie & John winning 11 ends to 10 ends by Margaret & "Budgie".

Timber Wood runners up
In the semi finals, Ronnie & John defeated Mike Barnes & Joan Roll (Margate & Herne Bay respectively) by a score of 21-9 and Margaret & "Budgie" defeated Bill Carroll & Beryl Jones (both Thanet) by a score of 26-6.  
Terry Coker and Roger Hayes
Prizes were presented by Margate President, Terry Coker assisted by umpire and tournament organiser, Roger Hayes. Roger commented that this year's tournament attracted 25 entries and has been very successful and well attended.
